Reports have claimed that Chelsea have now moved ahead in the race to sign Mohammed Kudus from Ajax this summer.
According to The Independent, the Blues have overtaken Arsenal in an attempt to bring the highly talented midfielder to the Premier League during this window.
There have been strong links over the last two days suggesting that Chelsea are now the favourites to sign Kudus this summer.
The versatile Ghanian obviously appeals to the Blues for his ability to play anywhere in attack, with them certainly lacking a player or two before the season gets underway.
Yesterday they saw themselves handed perhaps an unexpected boost in their efforts to try and convince the player himself of the move. The played described as a ‘genius’ skipped training for Ajax yesterday for an unexplained reason.
Now, it has been claimed that the Blues are now the leading side to complete the transfer, despite interest from Arsenal.
Chelsea ahead in race for Kudus
The two clubs have been tightly linked throughout the last few transfer windows. Jorginho and Kai Havertz had been important players for the club before they made their respective moves across London.
Chelsea supporters will be hoping that this specific transfer comes to the same conclusion that the one back in January involving Mykhailo Mudryk.

Kudus is one of the candidates for the Blues to bring in another attacking player before the window shuts, although he is not the only person on their list.
