Reports from Spain have claimed that Chelsea have now made an offer to one manager in Europe to become their next boss.

According to AS, the Blues have put an offer on the table for Girona manager Michel to take over the work of Mauricio Pochettino.

It has been widely reported that there is a serious amount of pressure on the shoulders of Pochettino after a string of poor results and performances have left them in the bottom half of the table.

They also saw a chance to win a first trophy since Todd Boehly took over slip through their fingers following defeat at Wembley to Liverpool.

Reports have also stated that there are members of the board who have begun to do due diligence on a number of potential replacements.

It has been claimed that there are candidates being considered from both the Premier League and beyond to potentially come in if the Argentine is sacked.

Chelsea make offer for Michel to be manager

Now, reports have suggested that one candidate has now had an offer made to him to take over at Stamford Bridge.

They have claimed that Girona boss Michel has an offer on the table, following his sensational season so far over in Spain.

His side currently sit second in the league, only behind Real Madrid and the brilliance and the likes of Jude Bellingham.

With reports this strong and frequent suggesting that a new manager is being lined up, it feels as if there is very little hope of Pochettino being the one to make things work in West London.

The Argentine’s relationship with some supporters has not got off the ground, and some have elected to chant for the likes of Jose Mourinho instead during particularly difficult periods.

Whether Michel is the right choice to replace him is another question though. His managerial career has only recently hit the heights it has, and it remains to be seen whether he can live up to the lofty heights of those at Stamford Bridge.
