Chelsea have made it no secret that they are on the lookout for a number of the world’s best young talents before rival sides snap them up.

The Blues are delighted they secured Estevao Willian over the summer, with him set to join up with the first team squad as soon as next season.

PSG were also keen to sign Estevao, with him seen as one of the top prospects in world football.

Reports have claimed that Chelsea have been closely watching a number of talents in the Champions League, a competition they are not in for the second season in a row.

If they were paying attention this week, they will have seen a brief cameo from Sporting Lisbon’s Geovany Quenda.

While Chelsea fans were more impressed by teammate Viktor Gyokeres, the young winger has established himself as a regular member of the Portuguese side’s starting team.

According to CaughtOffside, the Blues had scouts in attendance recently to watch the 17-year-old in action.

The report goes on to say that Sporting are going to stick to the release clause that they have in his contract, meaning he would be moving for a fee of £83m.

Chelsea pleased with current wingers

Chelsea will feel relatively happy with the options they have out wide at the moment, with them all proving their worth in different scenarios.

The standout performer this season has been Noni Madueke, who has held off the challenge of Pedro Neto for a regular starting role in the Premier League.

Reports have claimed chiefs at the club believe Neto could be in for more minutes at Chelsea in the coming weeks, after impressing in his appearances of late.

This could come in place of Jadon Sancho, who he replaced at half-time against Liverpool after what he would probably admit was his weakest performance since joining the club in the summer.
