The son of one Chelsea legend could be about to follow in his father’s footsteps by moving to England this summer.
The Blues have a brilliant team right now, showing that in America after winning the Club World Cup. Cole Palmer really shone for Enzo Maresca‘s side during the tournament, producing five goal contributions in six appearances.
Of course, Chelsea have also had excellent teams in the past, boasting the likes of John Terry, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba and Eidur Gudjohnsen.
One of those former players could now get the chance to watch their son play in the Championship next season.

Eidur Gudjohnsen’s son Daniel Gudjohnsen could join Sheffield United
Gudjohnsen was a huge success in England, helping Chelsea win two Premier League titles, and it looks like one of his sons may now get the opportunity to also play in the country.
According to The Sun, Sheffield United are currently tracking Malmo striker Daniel Gudjohnsen.
The outlet claims that the Championship club scouted Gudjohnsen in Malmo’s Champions League qualifier against FC Iberia 1999 last week.
Had United beaten Sunderland in the play-off final last season, they would have been able to offer Gudjohnsen Premier League football, which could have seen him take on his father’s former club Chelsea.
The Blues have signed two new strikers themselves this summer, bringing in Joao Pedro and Liam Delap from Brighton & Hove Albion and Ipswich Town respectively. Pedro is already proving his doubters wrong after scoring three goals in as many appearances at the Club World Cup.

How many goals did Eidur Gudjohnsen score for Chelsea?
Eidur can be a great example for Daniel to follow, with the retired Iceland international being a very successful forward during his day.
At Chelsea, he managed to score 78 goals in 263 appearances, which is not a bad record. There is a long way to go for Daniel, though, before the 19-year-old reaches that kind of level.
