There is a strong contingent of former Chelsea players who are starring in the next stages of their career as a manager.
The highest-profile name to make the jump so far has been Frank Lampard, who after two tenures in charge of Chelsea is leading a play off charge with Coventry City in the Championship.
One of Lampard’s closest rivals on the pitch, Cesc Fabregas, went on to replace him at Stamford Bridge as a player, and is making a similarly positive impact in his post-playing career.
In charge of recently-promoted Como, the Spaniard has helped comfortably establish his side as a mid-table side in Serie A in his first campaign as the manager, following a spell as assistant at the same club.

Chelsea legend Cesc Fabregas flying as Como manager
Fabregas’ side shut down title favourites Napoli and former Blue Romelu Lukaku this season, picking up arguably the biggest win of his managerial career in the process.
Impressive results have recently turned into a sensational run of form, with Como now on a run of four consecutive wins in the league.
One of those wins came against Torino, a side who were boosted in January by the permanent signing of Cesare Casadei from Chelsea.

Cesc Fabregas wanted for big jobs
Perhaps predictably based on his excellent showing already as a manager, Fabregas is being linked with a number of other jobs in European football.
Recently relegated Leicester City have been linked to Fabregas, with them looking to bounce straight back to the Premier League next season.
The performances under the Spaniard would likely be judged in line with how current Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca got on there, with him attracting the Blues to him as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement after leading them to the title.
It is easy to believe there is a stint at a top club coming in the future for Fabregas, and the relations he built up during his time at Stamford Bridge could make it a match made in heaven.
