On-loan Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi commented on the club’s recent transfer spree as he spoke about the uncertainty over his future at Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old joined Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan last August.
At the time, the arrival of Raheem Sterling, whose favourite position is also on the left, likely played a big part in his decision to pursue regular football in Germany.
However, Chelsea have now brought in another left winger, Mykhailo Mudryk, which has put an even bigger question mark over Hudson-Odoi’s future at Chelsea.

“I have not spoken to them much recently at all,” the winger told Sky Sports when asked about Chelsea’s recent transfers.
“I am not there, so seeing all these players going, there is nothing I can say or do.
“At the end of the day, I am focused on the club here and trying to help as much as possible here.
“Whatever happens in the future, I do not know. All I can do is focus on what happens here [at Leverkusen].”
Earlier this month, the Guardian claimed that Hudson-Odoi is among the players whom Chelsea are open to selling this summer.
The Chelsea academy graduate’s contract expires in summer 2024, so unless the club plan to offer him an extension, cashing in on the player at the end of the season certainly makes sense.
Hudson-Odoi himself has not made a strong case for his Chelsea return, having only registered one goal and one assist in all competitions for Leverkusen.
While Chelsea need more firepower up front, given their poor goalscoring record this season, the young winger does not seem to be the answer.
