Chelsea pushing to beat Arsenal to Viktor Gyokeres

One of those players who has emerged near the top of the list is Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres, who has one of the best goalscoring records in Europe over the last two seasons.

The striker has 44 goals in 45 games this season, and is clearly going to be of interest to a number of top sides looking to solve their striker woes.

Chelsea believe Sporting’s valuation is fair, which could see them hold an advantage on a number of the other elite sides who could be looking for a cut-price deal.

According to A Bola, the Blues are making a move to put themselves ahead of Arsenal for the deal, with them clearly looking to strengthen around former Blue Kai Havertz.

Chelsea’s other striker targets

The Blues have plenty of options when it comes to signing a new number nine though, with their manager having his opinion on who they should bring in.

Maresca is reportedly pushing for Liam Delap to join the club, with him getting a first-hand viewing of his talents in Premier League games against Ipswich this season.

Links to the likes of Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko refuse to go away as a result of long-term admiration of their talents.
