Chelsea now only want £25m for 24-year-old in January, they asked for £50m in the summer

Reports have claimed that Chelsea are willing to near enough half their requested asking price to sell Trevoh Chalobah in January.

According to the Express, the Blues are asking for just £25m for the 24-year-old, who looks certain to be on the move when the transfer window opens again.

Chelsea supporters haven’t seen Chalobah this season, off the back of an injury he suffered during pre-season.

While not a lot is known about the problem, it was reported a few weeks ago that he had suffered a setback in his recovery and would not be available anytime soon.

However, injury or not it has been widely reported that he is set to be on the move in January after the club failed to find a buyer for him in the summer.

The Blues reportedly sought after £50m to let him go, which seemed to put off the likes of Bayern Munich and Tottenham in their pursuits of the Englishman.

£25m for Chalobah

The summer addition of Axel Disasi as well as the return from loan for Levi Colwill made him essentially surplus to requirements, despite playing a crucial role under former manager Thomas Tuchel.

It has now been claimed that they have slashed their asking price in half though, with them looking for just £25m to see him leave in January.

Recent reports have linked Roma with a move for the 24-year-old, with Jose Mourinho reportedly weighing up a deal.

It has also been claimed that Chelsea could soon see the return of Wesley Fofana, who was expected to be missing the majority of the season after his own pre-season problem.

He recently liked a post on Instagram suggesting he could even be back in action before the end of the year.
