Chelsea youngster Leo Castledine is very highly-rated by club officials.
That is according to a report from Football.London.
Leo Castledine, who’s just 18, is an exciting player in Chelsea’s academy right now.
The attacking midfielder has been a key figure for the Blues Under-21s side so far this season, scoring two goals and making six assists in only seven league games.
He was rewarded with a spot in the first-team matchday squad during Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers last night in the Carabao Cup. However, he didn’t get off the bench and is still waiting for his senior debut.

Future Chelsea star
Football.London has claimed that Castledine is ‘highly-rated’ by people within Cobham.
In addition, the report says that the 18-year-old talent has been involved in first-team training at Chelsea during recent weeks.
Hopefully, the English teenager is a future star in waiting.
Speaking via The Athletic last November, Chelsea’s Under-21s manager compared Castledine to both Mason Mount and Conor Gallagher. It’s certainly a great comparison for any Blues youngster to receive.
Leo Castledine next off the production line
There’s plenty of examples for Chelsea’s academy players to look up to for inspiration.
The likes of Reece James and Levi Colwill in the current Blues squad developed at Cobham in the academy. Meanwhile, there’s been countless young stars to come from Stamford Bridge in the past decade.
We hope to see this continuous cycle take place now with Mauricio Pochettino at the helm as the senior head coach.
