After a perfect outing in Europe, Chelsea are back to action in the Premier League at the weekend with a home game against Ipswich Town.

The Blues dominated Legia Warsaw 3-0 away from home, with a number of players making a claim for a start in the return to league action.

Tyrique George starred and marked a rare appearance from the off with his first goal for the club.

There was also an impressive outing for Josh Acheampong too, with Enzo Maresca waxing lyrical about the versatility he showed in Poland.

The manager will no doubt be looking to rotate where he can for the second leg of the Conference League next week, so there should be plenty of starters on display against the relegation-threatened Ipswich.

Here’s The Chelsea Chronicle’s Predicted XI for Chelsea’s return to Premier League football.

Chelsea predicted XI vs Ipswich

Despite a strong outing for Filip Jorgensen in the Conference League, Maresca has made it clear that Robert Sanchez will be the starting goalkeeper in the Premier League for now.

After consecutive starts for Reece James, he will return to the bench. The manager will still select Malo Gusto despite his admiration of Acheampong.

Trevoh Chalobah didn’t play a minute against Legia, and will find himself back in the starting side looking to contain transfer target Liam Delap.

He will be partnered by Levi Colwill, who impressed Polish media with his cameo in the Conference League.

At left-back, the crucial Marc Cucurella will be back amongst the starters. His impact on the side has been up there with the very best Blues players this season.

Moises Caicedo got a complete rest in the week, and will be fresh and ready to go when Ipswich visit West London on Sunday.

He will be joined in the middle of the park by Enzo Fernandez, who was also not needed off the bench as the Blues cruised past their opponents on Thursday.

Ahead of those two, Cole Palmer will be desperate to find the net as his unprecedented goal drought continues into the crucial part of the season.

The right wing will be occupied by Noni Madueke, after his excellent appearance off the bench helped the Blues take control of the quarter-final tie. The England international made it 10 goals in all competitions with his brace in Poland.

The opposite side will be Pedro Neto. This will see George return to the bench, with him being a shoe in to start on Thursday for the second leg.

Up front, Nicolas Jackson is perhaps the easiest pic of the lot based on the dreadful form of Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman’s woes continued with a missed penalty against Ipswich.
