Chelsea loanees have mixed fortunes when it comes to whether they are in the club’s long term plans when they return at the end of the season.
Strasbourg stars Andrey Santos and Djordje Petrovic are perhaps best placed to be first team stars next season, with Chelsea very excited by Santos in particular.
Another player who has been out on loan since January is Carney Chukwuemeka, with him mkaing the switch to Borussia Dortmund after opportunities were not coming his way under Enzo Maresca.
The youngster started just one game this season, with that coming while most of the first team were handed a rest against Astana in the Conference League.

Carney Chukwuemeka’s Borussia Dortmund buy clause only active until Club World Cup
He has enjoyed a strong spell away so far, with Chukwuemeka being praised by Niko Kovac for a ‘gamechanging’ performance in a recent Bundesliga game.
The deal only sees him currently there until the end of the season, however Dortmund would like to sign him permanently on their own terms.
According to BILD, there is a clause in his loan deal that gives them the chance to sign him for around £30m, however that must be done before the Club World Cup.
Should that not occur, then all options are back on the table, including an unlikely return to action at Stamford Bridge.

Potential for swap deal involving Carney Chukwuemeka
Chelsea are interested in signing a number of players currently at Borussia Dortmund, and could well use Chukwuemeka as leway to drop the transfer fee.
The Blues are favourites to sign Jamie Gittens at the end of the season after the winger has decided that he wants a new challenge for the upcoming campaign.
He is not the only one they are keen on. Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel has reportedly been in talks with Chelsea, as the Blues desperately look to sort the ongoing issues between the sticks.
Chukwuemeka’s Chelsea future does not look great under Maresca, and a move looks best for all parties as he approaches his prime years.
