Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that staff at Chelsea absolutely adore Napoli striker Victor Osimhen right now.
He told his Substack that the 24-year-old is seen as the dream target by many as a striker signing either in January or at the end of the season.
It has been noted by most that a striker is top of the priority list at Stamford Bridge right now, after their start to the season has proven that goals are still a bit difficult to come by.

Osimhen meanwhile looks to have had his bridges burned by Napoli in recent weeks, as a number of gaffes by the club have left him fuming.
This hasn’t seemed to impact him too much on the pitch. He still has six goals in eight games this season in Serie A.
After picking up where he left off in the prior campaign, the striker is certainly still high on the wishlist at Stamford Bridge.
Osimhen adored at Chelsea
Phillips however has claimed that while he is adored at the club, they recognize the deal is not realistic right now.
He said: “Victor Osmihen is adored by Chelsea and many at the club still see him as the dream target for up top. So there is no way I am ruling that out.
“But he would be a very hefty fee and also, hugely unlikely to be available until the summer. Toney is just seen as more realistic and also for some at the club, the preference due to being Premier League proven.”
Toney’s abilities that have been seen in the Premier League over the last few years suggest that he has the capabilities to lift his game if he gets a move to a bigger side.
The Blues will be keen not to overpay for the player, with a high fee already being requested by Brentford.
