Reports have claimed that an unused Chelsea substitute was left surprised at what he was told straight after their loss to Newcastle on Saturday.
According to the Mail Online, Alex Matos was slightly stunned when he heard that the Blues were in for some days off after their embarrassing defeat.
Matos was forced to watch from the bench as Chelsea dismantled in front of his eyes at St. James’ Park on Saturday.

They were defeated 4-1, with Reece James’ red card only compounding their misery in the second half.
Mauricio Pochettino was notably fuming after the game, with him letting his mask slip for the first time since he took over the Blues.
He used his post-match interview to rip into his players, stating that he was looking to get his players back into training just 24 hours after the defeat.
Matos surprised after Chelsea loss
This however did not end up happening, with the boss perhaps not taking the logistics into account after the long journey home from Newcastle.
Nevertheless, even the post-match warm down seemed to not be taken into account, with Matos prepared to complete his duties 15 minutes after full-time.
The 19-year-old was not joined by any of his teammates though, with him reportedly directly addressing a coach to ask where everyone was.
It is going to be a big week on the training ground for the Blues as they look to get back to winning ways when they face Brighton at Stamford Bridge.
The Seagulls will be coming just three days after playing in Europe, and their own injury concerns could see them struggling.
Chelsea will now have suspension issues to worry about, with James also joined by Marc Cucurella after his fifth yellow card.
