Young Chelsea loanee Levi Colwill is among the top-rated Under-20 centre-backs outside Europe’s top five leagues, according to CIES Football Observatory.
The Switzerland-based research group recently posted their picks of 100 “next big-5 league stars” consisting of players born in 2002 and after playing in 31 leagues outside the big-5 with the highest InStat index.
Colwill, who is currently on a season-long loan at Huddersfield Town, is the second highest-rated on the list.
The 18-year-old has made 20 appearances in the Championship this season, averaging 2.1 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per game (per Opta, via Whoscored).

He mostly plays on the left of a three-man defence at Huddersfield, which would only help him adapt if he was to be part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad next season.
Malang Sarr is currently the second-choice option behind Antonio Rudiger for the left-sided centre-back role at Chelsea.
While Sarr is likely to stay for the remainder of the season, his agent previously spoke about a possibility of a loan move to pursue regular football elsewhere.

Aside from Colwill, fellow Chelsea loanee Ian Maatsen also ranks 11th among full-backs.
