Chelsea are set for a busy final few days of the transfer window as they look to perfect their squad for the new manager.
Enzo Maresca already has a bloated squad to deal with, and has been forced to leave a number of senior players out of the matchday squad for the opening game of the season.
Raheem Sterling was one of those not included, and reports since have stated that Sterling has decided he wants to leave the club this summer.
This would certainly go down well with Chelsea, who have been keen to get rid of him despite bumping into issues when it comes to his wages.
Chelsea want 12 players gone this summer
The England international could well be part of a mass clearout at Stamford Bridge. According to GiveMeSport, the Blues want as many as 12 first team players to be gone by the time the window slams shut at the end of the month.

A number of those individuals have absolutely no chance of being included in the first team again, with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Kepa Arrizabalaga a long way away from any plans in West London.
Some however have played a key part for Chelsea in recent months, with many disappointed about the perceived treatment of them.
Chelsea desperate to sell Trevoh Chalobah
One of those is Trevoh Chalobah, with him left off the pre-season tour of the United States in order to accelerate interest in someone signing him.
The plethora of outgoings is likely to be to create space for the large amount of signings already made by the Blues, with there no guarantee that their spending is done for the summer.
Yesterday saw them announce the addition of Joao Felix on a permanent basis, after his loan spell with the club back in 2023.
A debut is not on the cards tonight though, with his first appearance potentially coming on Sunday against Wolves.
