Chelsea were certainly busy over the summer when it came to both signings and departures at the club.
There were plenty of additions made in the final few weeks of the window as the Blues looked to build the perfect squad for new manager Enzo Maresca.
It is fair to say the boss is getting the best out of the side he has available to him right now, and he is the favourite to pick up the manager of the month award for an unbeaten September.
Some of the new signings have made an instant impact in the starting side. Jadon Sancho has exceeded expectations since his deadline day move from Manchester United.
A lot of them though have had to wait patiently for their chance to impress, with one of those being Joao Felix.

Chelsea didn’t actually want to sign Joao Felix
The Portugal international has had the unfortunate role of playing the same position as Cole Palmer, who is on par with the best players in the world right now.
The £45m deal to sign Felix came almost in exchange for Conor Gallagher, after he had an indifferent loan spell at Stamford Bridge back in 2023.
According to The Guardian though, the Blues didn’t actually have much interest in signing him before the deal was done.
The desperation to sell Gallagher seemed to reach a point where they needed to sign a player in exchange, and their original desire was to bring in Samu Omorodion.
Chelsea strikers impressing greatly
The striker ended up moving to Porto, and his performance against United in the Europa League showed they may have missed a trick there.
The Blues will point to the brilliant performances so far of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, with them both finding the net on a regular basis.
With Jhon Duran, another transfer target, scoring plenty of big goals too, their displays so far are proving the club did well to stick with what they had up front.
