There is serious excitement about the prospects of some of the players coming through the Chelsea academy right now.
Enzo Maresca has already looked to the youngsters this season in the face of multiple injuries affecting his first team squad.
Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong have already established themselves as first team players, and there was recently a debut for Shumaira Mhueka in the Premier League.
Mheuka nearly broke a league record when the first touch of his career almost found the net, and there remains potential for him to play a role in the coming weeks without Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu available.

Chelsea youngster Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli stars for England U16s
It has not been uncommon for the youngsters at Stamford Bridge to be playing above their age group this season. A very young U18s side recorded a historic victory against Leicester City last month.
This game saw young midfielder Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli start, despite being just 15 years of age.
After performing three years above his age for his club, Nicoll-Jazuli was featuring for the England U16 side in a 7-3 friendly win against Denmark.
The Chelsea youngster scored a brilliant goal for his country, beating two players before fiercely driving a shot into the bottom corner.
TheSecretScout was full of praise for the Cobham star’s achievement, with only the likes of Jude Bellingham and Jamal Musiala achieving the feat of starring above their age for their country.
They said: “Wow Chelsea’s U15 Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli with superb finish playing for England u16s in 7-3 win against Denmark.
“Playing a year up for England. It doesn’t happen often, Jude Bellingham and Jamal Musiala previous players to do so. Remember the name.”
Who is Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli?
Nicoll-Jazuli now has three appearances under his belt for the Chelsea U18s, a sensational accomplishment for someone who is just 15.
He has featured in the middle of the park, either as a central midfielder or attacking midfielder, and the young Blues are undefeated since he came into the side.

As seen, Nicoll-Jazuli has already found the net for the U18s, and his recent England exploits will give him plenty of confidence that he has a chance of making it at Stamford Bridge.
His best chance of action in the immediate future may come in the Conference League, however it is expected Chelsea will field a stronger side for the knockout stage of that competition than the ones who featured during the groups.
