Cole Palmer has enjoyed a quite sensational start to his second season as a Chelsea player.
Chelsea have had a fairly positive opening few months to the campaign, which has left them fourth in the Premier League table during the October international break.
Cole Palmer, 22, has once again been the talisman at Stamford Bridge. He’s been on fire with six goals and five assists from seven league appearances.
The left-footed attacker is at the heart of the Blues’ success from a No.10 position, which is really suiting him under the current manager. In fairness, he already had a previous relationship with Enzo Maresca from their time together at Manchester City.
Palmer is in the Premier League Team of the Season so far after such a quick-fire start in front of goal.

Cole Palmer tops Premier League statistic
WhoScored data has recorded that Chelsea’s Palmer is the player in the Premier League with the most chances created from open play so far this season.
Interestingly, the Blues playmaker leads the way with 21 chances created, which is more than both Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva (19) and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka (17).
While Palmer is so often in the spotlight for the goals he scores, this perfectly indicates that he’s also a major creative force. In particular, we’re really enjoying the ever-growing partnership between him and Blues striker Nicolas Jackson.
Palmer has both the vision and execution to split Premier League defences open with his pass selection.
Cole Palmer should join Bukayo Saka as England regular
The form of Arsenal’s Saka over many years now has earned him as the reputation as one of the top attackers in Europe. On top of that, the 23-year-old star has cemented a starting position at international level with England on the right wing.
For Palmer, his aim should be to equally force his way into England’s best line-up to make himself a guaranteed starter.
The Chelsea ace has competition from England colleagues such as Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham to play as the No.10, but his form across the last year stacks up with any player.
We think Palmer is deserving of a run of games as England’s central playmaker behind Harry Kane, starting with the Nations League fixtures versus Greece and Finland this week.
