Journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed that this week is going to be crucial in the future of Chelsea transfer target Moises Caicedo.
He told GiveMeSport that there is still a chance for a positive or negative twist in the transfer saga that has extended across this summer.
Attempts to sign Caicedo have been well-documented throughout the entire window so far, with a number of bids being swiftly rejected.

It is believed that Brighton value the Ecuador international alongside Declan Rice, who has recently move for a British record fee to Arsenal.
Chelsea are less keen to pay that figure, and are not willing to include defender Levi Colwill in any potential deal.
The Seagulls have been keen to sign the Englishman after they were fortunate enough to have him on loan last season.
Big week for Caicedo
While there has not been the progress made they would’ve liked up to now, Galetti has claimed that this week could be big in their attempts to bring him in.
He said: “Mauricio Pochettino’s wish to have him in for the pre-season has not been fulfilled, but Chelsea will still try to please their manager by negotiating to the bitter end with Brighton & Hove Albion.
“Also this week, again, will be decisive for the future of Caicedo, who already has an agreement with Chelsea and continues to push for the move.

“The contact is constant between the two clubs and at any moment there could be a turning point, positive or negative.”
If a deal for Caicedo is not reached, the Blues will need to move quickly to ensure they can move on to any targets who are equally as good.
It is likely they would transition to attempting to sign Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia if they do miss out on the 21-year-old.
