Chris Sutton has just previewed the upcoming meeting between Chelsea and Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Chelsea host Forest this Sunday afternoon in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge. Overall, it’s been a strong start to the league season for Enzo Maresca as he adapts to life as the manager.

The Blues currently sit fourth in the division table after six gameweeks because they’ve started to find some form and consistency, winning the last three consecutive league matches.

Chris Sutton predicts Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest

BBC pundit Chris Sutton has tipped Chelsea to go into the international break fresh off a narrow victory over Forest.

Sutton told BBC Sport: “Chelsea are a lot easier to predict this season. I am not getting their scores right, but I am having much more joy with their results…

“Cole Palmer, who will go down as ‘the one that Manchester City let get away’, is on fire at the moment, and it is as if he has got eyes in the back of his head. I absolutely love watching him play because everything is so easy for him, and it feels like he is going to score every time he plays.

“Forest will probably nick a goal, because I am not convinced with how Chelsea defend, but this is definitely a home win – I am sure of it. Sutton’s prediction: 2-1.”

Chelsea can’t stop scoring

One of the immediate impacts from Maresca on this group of players is that they look devastating as an attacking unit, which is largely down to the way they go forward with pace and numbers.

Chelsea have a league-high record of 15 goals from their opening six top-flight matches. On top of that, they’ve scored a further 12 goals in four games across various cup competitions this season.

There’s no doubt that the team needs to tighten up defensively, but it feels like they can blow a lot of opponents away right now with their firepower at the top end of the pitch.

It’s quite telling that Christopher Nkunku, who’s got seven goals in 10 games across all competitions this campaign, can’t break into the starting XI for the league right now.
