With the turnaround of managers at Chelsea since Todd Boehly and co took over the club, there is no doubt a desire to stick with their current man.

Enzo Maresca has experienced all three results as a Chelsea manager in the Premier League already, with him quickly getting to grips with life as a top-flight manager.

The Blues have also successfully navigated their way to the group stages of the Conference League too, despite struggling at times against Servette in the qualifying round.

With Mauricio Pochettino and Graham Potter unable to reach their second season in charge of the club, Chelsea will be desperate to make things work with the Italian at the helm.

A number of signings and sales have been made based on who is in charge right now, potentially showing there is a belief that the Italian can be the man to take the project forwards.

Chelsea set Enzo Maresca top-four target

There will be expectations of what he can deliver on the pitch though. According to ESPN, Maresca has been set a soft target of finishing in the top four this season and qualifying for the Champions League.

Given the fact that Pochettino got a Chelsea side to sixth in the league whilst dealing with a mountain of injury issues, it is no surprise that those in charge of the club are hoping to move even further up the table this season.

Chelsea showing faith in Nicolas Jackson

They seem to have done their best to back the new boss in the transfer window, bringing in a plethora of new players particularly in the attacking areas.

Chelsea negated to bring a recognised striker in during the window though, suggesting they have faith in what Nicolas Jackson can do in the coming months.

He has begun to silence doubters with his start to the Premier League season, and will hope to build on his two goals in as many games when domestic action returns.
