Chris Sutton has predicted the score ahead of Chelsea against Fulham this weekend.
Chelsea host neighbours Fulham on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.
Both teams go into tomorrow’s league match fresh off defeats in the Carabao Cup semi-finals. The Blues suffered a 1-0 loss in their first leg against Middlesbrough, while Fulham were beaten 2-1 at Liverpool.
There’s still a chance that the West London rivals could meet in next month’s League Cup final, but they’ll both have to overcome deficits in the second leg.

BBC pundit Chris Sutton has posted his pre-match prediction ahead of Chelsea vs Fulham at Stamford Bridge.
He claims that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been “average all season”. However, he’s tipped a narrow home win on Saturday.
“Chelsea had won three games in a row in all competitions and were showing a bit of consistency before they lost to Middlesbrough in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday,” Sutton told BBC Sport.
“I think they have made some progress this season, but only because of how bad they were last season – they scored 38 goals and got 44 points in 2022-23. They have got 34 goals already this time and their points-per-game is up from 1.15 to 1.4 but it’s still not exactly anything to shout about. They have been average all season and I was expecting a lot more from the money they have spent.
“I’ve backed them, and been wrong, many times already this season so do I make the same mistake again?
“It doesn’t help me much that there’s not too many reasons to go with Fulham here, either. Their last league game was their excellent home win over Arsenal, but their form away from Craven Cottage is poor.
“… What we see from them at Stamford Bridge might depend on how jaded they are from their Carabao Cup semi-final defeat at Liverpool on Wednesday and, against my better judgement, I am going for a Chelsea victory.
“Sutton’s prediction: 2-1.”
Speaking via Sportskeeda this week, Paul Merson also predicted a Chelsea victory over Fulham.
Chelsea vs Fulham
Remarkably, Chelsea can temporarily climb up to seventh in the league table if they beat Fulham by a big enough scoreline on Saturday.
It shows that Pochettino’s side haven’t completely lost ground on the teams above despite very indifferent form this season.
If the Blues can find form in the second half of the campaign, perhaps they can still salvage something.
