Chelsea’s Levi Colwill received plenty of praise following his performance in last night’s win against Fulham, including from teammates Cole Palmer and Ian Maatsen.

Chelsea secured a vital win on Friday night away to close rivals Fulham, beating them 2-0 in the Premier League fixture.

Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja both scored first-half goals inside a crazy 80 second period.

Now, Mauricio Pochettino’s side travel to Burnley this weekend for their final game before the international break. Hopefully, they can keep up this recent momentum after a rocky start to the campaign.

Levi Colwill uploaded a post on Instagram straight after Chelsea’s win over Fulham on Friday evening.

The 20-year-old played an important part in the Premier League result, assisting Mudryk’s opening goal with a pinpoint left-footed through ball over the top.

Blues star Cole Palmer was left wowed in the Instagram comment section by Colwill’s pass yesterday.

Meanwhile, Chelsea substitute Ian Maatsen was seriously impressed as well.

We would still much prefer to see Colwill starting games at centre-back on a regular basis, but he was back in the left-back spot last night against Fulham. In fairness, his memorable assist only came because he was pushed high and wide up the left flank.

It’s gone under the radar that the English defender has started every match this season so far under Pochettino.

Gary Lineker predicted last month that Colwill is destined to be a senior England international soon, as quoted by The Rest Is Football podcast. We have to echo those words when you consider the Chelsea youngster’s potential and quality on and off the ball.
