Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia posted a message on Instagram yesterday as he edges closer to a return from injury, which received a brilliant two-word response from teammate Cole Palmer.
Romeo Lavia, who joined the Blues in the summer from Southampton, is still yet to make his debut for the club.
The 19-year-old midfielder has watched from the stands during the first half of the season because of injury, but there’s suggestions that he’ll soon be available to play.
Chelsea confirmed via their official website on Thursday that Lavia continued his work by training on the grass at Cobham.
This comes after Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino said last week that Lavia’s return could be between seven to 10 days.

Cole Palmer message
Lavia uploaded a post on Instagram yesterday with images of him in training. This included a “soon” caption, too.
Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer, 21, responded in the comment section with a brilliant two-word message.
The duo played together in Manchester City’s academy, so it’s great to see there’s a bond between the two summer signings.

Romeo Lavia return from injury
Let’s hope that Lavia can hit the ground running in Chelsea colours just like Palmer.
There’s been a real mixed bag so far when it comes to Blues signings under this ownership, but Palmer’s addition from Manchester City a few months ago probably sits at the top of the pile as the best piece of business.
We’re now excited to see what Lavia can bring to the Blues line-up when he’s ready to make his debut.
The teenager may be relatively inexperienced still and possess a diminutive frame in midfield, but he caught the eye in the Premier League last season for a Southampton side that were relegated.
We’re definitely picturing him adding a lot to Pochettino’s line-up as a genuine No 6 midfielder that can help protect the back four. Hopefully, Lavia’s introduction can free up the likes of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez in midfield as well.
There was a feel-good factor when Christopher Nkunku finally made his Chelsea debut this week. Him and Lavia should bring loads to the team for the second half of the campaign.
