Journalist Bobby Vincent has now given a big update on who may be available for the Blues when they return to Premier League action at the weekend.

He took to Twitter to state that Noni Madueke could be fit enough to be involved after not being present in the squad in recent weeks.

Madueke is one of the players at the club who have been linked with an exit in an attempt to balance the books in the coming transfer windows.

This is despite the Englishman only joining the side in January of this year, although his lack of appearances have sparked reports that he could be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

It has been a season to forget so far for the youngster, with him starting just once in the Premier League against Brentford.

While he came just inches away from scoring a spectacular goal that day, his performance has hardly been rewarded with any minutes as a result of it.

Madueke could be in squad

Even fixtures in the EFL Cup have not seen him feature, and with that competition reaching the latter stages now he will need to establish himself as a key player between now and then to feature.

He may soon get his chance to do that. Vincent has claimed that he could be fit enough to return to the Chelsea squad for the fixture on Christmas Eve.

He said: “Noni Madueke could make the squad for Wolves. Chelsea’s injury situation is slowly but surely improving.”

The wing position he normally plays in has been locked down by Cole Palmer for pretty much the entirety of this campaign.

The former Manchester City man has been arguably Chelsea’s best player since he joined on deadline day, and this has seem him normally occupy an attacking role alongside Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson.
