Chelsea could look to get rid of Noni Madueke next month to help them pay for a new star striker.

Noni Madueke, 21, only completed a move to Stamford Bridge back in January in a £30million deal (BBC).

However, the English attacker is already linked with a potential move away from the Blues.

Fallout at Stamford Bridge

TEAMtalk claims this week that Chelsea will try sacrifice Madueke in order to raise funds to pay for a high-profile No 9.

It is explained that the 21-year-old’s relationship with Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino has cooled in recent weeks. In fact, he’s not in the manager’s plans any longer.

The report says Madueke is seeking an exit away from Chelsea, ideally to a different club in the Premier League.

In addition, Chelsea are going to want any potential buyer to match the £30million he cost nearly 12 months ago.

If the Blues are to go out and spend big on another centre-forward, the £30million cash windfall would be a welcomed one.

Chelsea could sell Noni Madueke

Madueke’s frequent omissions this campaign has baffled the supporters, making only eight appearances across all competitions. Incidentally, he’s currently on the sidelines with an injury problem.

However, the explanation that his relationship with the manager has got worse does begin to fill a few blanks.

Speaking via The Evening Standard earlier in the season, Madueke insisted that he’s got the talent and it’s only a matter of time before everything clicks for him.

We agree that Madueke’s a very talented forward with huge potential. We’re confident that the right-winger has the pace, skill and quality to be a success in England’s top division.

Unfortunately, it sounds like Chelsea fans may have to watch him go and thrive at a Premier League rival next year.
