Danny Murphy has admitted that he’s been left shocked by how good Cole Palmer has looked since signing for Chelsea.

Cole Palmer, who’s a product of the Manchester City academy, left the Etihad Stadium in the summer to seek regular first-team football. In fairness, the 21-year-old looks like he’s made the right decision.

The English attacking midfielder is now one of the first names in the Chelsea starting line-up.

We’ve seen Palmer grow into a really important player already this season for the Blues, scoring three goals and making four assists in 10 games across all competitions.

Speaking via FIVE’s YouTube channel, Danny Murphy expressed his admiration for Chelsea’s new playmaker. He’s actually really surprised by how good he’s been so far at Stamford Bridge.

Murphy said on Palmer: “Lovely player. I am [surprised Manchester City sold him]. I didn’t know he was this good… Effortless.”

It’s been a remarkably quick transition for Palmer at Chelsea.
