Former Tottenham defender Danny Rose has previously claimed that former Chelsea player Ross Barkley will have reached his full potential under Mauricio Pochettino.
He told The Sun in 2017 about his desire for his side to bring in the Englishman at the time before he made the move to Stamford Bridge.
Barkley struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in West London despite his high-profile transfer.

He frequently traded places with Mateo Kovacic in the starting line-up, however the leaps and bounds the Croatian has taken since these days shows why he is still at the club.
The former Everton man is currently plying his trade with Nice, notably scoring a sensational goal in one of his first appearances.
Pochettino would have been perfect for Barkley
It will be somewhat of a pub quiz phenomenon, but the 29-year-old was actually the club’s final goalscorer of last season.
It all could have looked very different though, if Rose got what he wanted six years ago while at Spurs.
He said: “Mauricio is a world-class manager and I can only voice my opinion — as a Tottenham ‘fan’ for the last six months.

“But hearing Ross might be available, well, I have played with and against Ross and bringing him through the door, in itself, would be a huge boost.
“I’m a huge fan. In terms of physical stature, right and left foot and trying to get him off the ball, he’s like Mousa Dembele. If Ross wants to push on to the next level, Mauricio Pochettino is the best manager to do that — just look how many players he has got into the England squad.”
If reports are to be believed, the Argentine is now set to become the next Chelsea manager after impressing in recent talks.
