Darren Bent singled out one Chelsea star for huge praise after the weekend victory against Bournemouth.
Chelsea snatched a late 1-0 win away at Bournemouth on Saturday in the Premier League, which means they’ve collected six points from six in their opening two fixtures on the road.
Christopher Nkunku netted an 86th minute winning goal for the visitors. Interestingly, Nkunku is averaging a goal every 4.5 shots so far in the Premier League.
Blues head coach Enzo Maresca now needs to sort out his side’s home form, where they’ve earned just a point from two league games at Stamford Bridge this season.
Next, it’s another away day for Chelsea when they make the short trip across London to West Ham this weekend.

Darren Bent impressed by Jadon Sancho
TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent thinks Chelsea’s Jadon Sancho was excellent on his first appearance for the Blues versus Bournemouth.
The 24-year-old winger came off the bench at half time and assisted Nkunku’s goal in the league victory at the Vitality Stadium.
When discussing Sancho’s debut performance via talkSPORT (6:41pm, 16 September), Bent said: “I thought he was brilliant. Sharp. Looked really, really happy. Fresh. Yeah, it was impressive. It was a little cameo.
“He managed to get Man of the Match from Sky, but it was good to see him play with a smile on his face, freedom. I think it is good for both parties.”
GiveMeSport recently claimed that Sancho is already impressing everyone at Chelsea, so his summer signing is already looking like a shrewd pick up. Hopefully, it’s just the start of a successful season in west London.
Chelsea do possess firepower
While Chelsea may not have anyone in their squad capable of scoring 30 goals in a single season, which is a very difficult thing to find, they do possess several great attacking options. In fact, there’s definitely the quality to spread the goals around and still blow most teams away.
We’re optimistic that the likes of Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke can all hit double digits for goals this campaign. Let’s not forget the likes of Sancho, Pedro Neto, Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix, too.
If you look at the way Arsenal have spread the goals around in recent years, it’s proof that it can be an effective method.
