Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer has hands down been one of the best players in the Premier League this season.
Chelsea signed Cole Palmer from Manchester City last summer and he has not disappointed. In 17 Premier League appearances for the Blues, the 21-year-old has come up with 13 goal contributions.
However, Darren Bent has claimed on talkSPORT that one Arsenal player is still having a better campaign than the England international and that he should start ahead of his Chelsea rival for the Three Lions at the Euros.
Whatever the case, Palmer has still been a standout performer in the Premier League.
Ben Chilwell recently hailed him as a “top player” following the Blues’ 6-1 win against Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup.
Darren Bent backs Bukayo Saka to start ahead of Cole Palmer at the Euros
While Bent thinks Palmer has done enough to go to the Euros with England this summer, he cannot see the Chelsea man starting ahead of Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
When asked who is having a better season out of the two, the former Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur striker said: “Saka’s been doing well. Arsenal are up there; they’re fighting at the top of the table, so he’s been very good. I’m going to stick with Saka.
“I think he [Palmer] should go [to the Euros], but he’s never going to start ahead of Saka.”

Will Cole Palmer be called up for the Euros?
It is not guaranteed that Palmer will actually be called up for the England squad to compete with Saka at the Euros. He only became a full England international recently.
However, with the way the former City star has been playing, Gareth Southgate would be mad to leave him at home.
You can debate whether Palmer should start or not, but excluding him from the squad should not be something that Southgate contemplates.
