Ben Chilwell massively applauded one Chelsea teammate after yesterday’s huge win over Middlesbrough.
Blues captain Ben Chilwell showered Cole Palmer with big praise following Tuesday’s success to reach the Carabao Cup final.
The Blues were under real pressure going into last night’s League Cup semi-final tie at home to Championship side Boro, especially because they were losing 1-0 on aggregate from the first leg.
However, Chelsea completely turned the two-legged tie on its head with yesterday’s 6-1 win at Stamford Bridge.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side face either Liverpool or Fulham in next month’s final at Wembley Stadium.

Chilwell, 27, impressed at left-back against Boro on his return to the side as captain.
However, 21-year-old attacking force Palmer stole the headlines again with two more goals to his collection.
When asked how good Palmer is, Chilwell told BBC Radio 5 Live (10:39pm, 23 January): “He is top. He is so chilled on and off the pitch. You can see when he scores it’s so nonchalant. It doesn’t faze him.
“He is a top guy and a top player and it is important that he continues this. This season he has been brilliant and he is so important to us. We have a massive game on Friday and hopefully, he can help us again.”
Ben Chilwell amazed by Cole Palmer
The long list of Palmer admirers continues to grow with every eye-catching performance he puts in.
We really enjoyed him starting in the No 10 position in yesterday’s game, drifting into so many intelligent pockets throughout the 90 minutes.
The English star put away two excellent finishes for his 10th and 11th goal of the season for Chelsea.
He was used to winning trophies on a regular basis at Manchester City, but now he’s only 90 minutes from his first trophy with the Blues.
Speaking via BBC Radio 5 Live (10:52pm), Boro manager Michael Carrick couldn’t help but praise Palmer as a “real talent” with a massive future ahead of him.
