Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are now finally moving towards completing a deal for Moises Caicedo this summer.
He took to Twitter to state that the two clubs are currently discussing the fixed fee the Blues will pay to get the deal over the line.
If Enzo Fernandez was the centre of the saga of the last transfer window, then Caicedo has certainly taken that crown for this summer so far.

It has been claimed for weeks that the two sides are locked in verbal negotiations regarding the player, as Chelsea look to brings in the perfect partner to the World Cup winner.
The Ecuador international enjoyed a sensational season, with him being described as ‘incredible’ by Adam Lallana.
Currently, looking past Fernandez, there is very little depth in midfield at Stamford Bridge. This has left some of he belief that they need to actually sign more than one figure in midfield this summer.
Caicedo deal moving along
However, all the reports have suggested that Mauricio Pochettino’s first choice is Caicedo, and this has seen them not yet walk away from the notorious tough negotiators in Brighton.
Romano has claimed that despite the days if no real update to the situation, the deal is now finally heading in the right direction.
He said: “Understand Moisés Caicedo deal is now ‘moving’ between Chelsea and Brighton. The two clubs are discussing amount of fixed fee, £70m not enough.

“Deal will 100% also include add-ons. Negotiations continue to find a solution as soon as possible.”
Many were of the belief that a deal was not going to be possible for the side after they made it clear that they weren’t interested in allowing Levi Colwill to go the other way.
However, it seems Brighton are now finally coming to terms with the fact that Caicedo may be playing his football elsewhere next season.
