Chelsea could end up making a move to try sign Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale in the future.
That is according to Ray Parlour.
Aaron Ramsdale, who’s just 25, is an Arsenal and England goalkeeper. Unfortunately, he currently finds himself on the bench for both his club side and national team.
TEAMtalk claimed last month that Chelsea have set their sights on Arsenal’s £60million-rated keeper Ramsdale as a potential target for next summer.
For now, the Blues are set with Robert Sanchez as their first-choice gloveman. Football.London recently claimed that Sanchez has been impressing people within Chelsea.

Ray Parlour suggestion
Parlour believes Chelsea is a fair suggestion for Ramdale’s next club if he ends up leaving Arsenal. In fact, he reckons he’s an upgrade on Sanchez in-between the sticks.
“I don’t think he’ll (Ramsdale) move in the January window. I think they’ll wait until the end of the season. If he’s not getting any opportunity then, he’s got to look…” Parlour told talkSPORT.
“Chelsea could be a shout. Definitely a shout. They could upgrade.”
Chelsea should duck Aaron Ramsdale
In our view, Ramsdale doesn’t stand out as a player Chelsea should be searching to sign.
The Englishman’s proven himself to be a decent shot-stopper in recent seasons and he ticks all the boxes as a modern goalkeeper. Ultimately, he’s been replaced by David Raya this year at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal’s No 1.
We’re still going to need a little bit more convincing that Sanchez is the long-term solution at Stamford Bridge, but we don’t see miles between him and Ramsdale.
Any player that puts on Chelsea’s goalkeeper shirt is unfortunately going to be compared to some of the superstars to wear the gloves at the club in the 21st century, mainly Petr Cech and Thibaut Courtois.
