Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has now had his say on current Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.

He gave his honest opinion on the boss to Sky Sports as pressure continued to mount on the Argentine at the helm.

For some supporters, the damning 4-2 home defeat to Wolves was the final straw of what has been an uninspiring tenure under Pochettino.

Fans who attended that game were not afraid to let their feelings be heard, with a lot of their discontent being aimed in the direction of the boss.

This has already led to a number of reports that some figures at the club are sounding out potential replacements for the role.

Fabrizio Romano has stated too that those on the board are actually conflicted on what to do with Pochettino at this stage.

Drogba on Pochettino

Drogba has now had his say on what he thinks of the man in charge at the club he made his name at.

He said: “Pochettino is doing the best job possible. He knows the league well. Everyone knows what he has done.”

It does look as if Pochettino is going to be given the chance to win his first trophy in English football when the Blues go to Wembley later this month.

He will be leading his side in the EFL Cup final against Liverpool, although will be safe in the knowledge that he will need more from his side than when they faced them in the Premier League last week.

Defeat at Wembley though will almost certainly see his time come to an end at the club, and leave the owners looking for their third permanent manager in about two years of being in charge.
