Jamie O’Hara has claimed that he cannot believe that Todd Boehly is about to let Mason Mount leave the club this summer.

He told TalkSPORT that he believes the American is not fit to run a football club due to his treatment of the 24-year-old since he arrived.

All the signs suggest that Mount will be on the move this summer, after what has been more than half of his life associated with the club.

A season interrupted by poor form and injuries looks set to bring an underwhelming end to his Chelsea career.

Reports yesterday stated that the England international had agreed personal terms with Manchester United, after their manager Erik ten Hag led the interest in signing him.

O’Hara slams Boehly

The fact that he could be on the move has left O’Hara furious when thinking about the transfer dealings that the club have done in the last 12 months.

He said: “I think Boehly’s a disgrace. What theyre doing is downgrading Mason Mount, a top player, homegrown player, been at the club since he was 10. Loves the football club, but because he’s come in and spent £600m on bang average players, you now need to balance the books and you’re downgrading for a Mudryk whose £70m and has been gargbage.

“That for me just shows how he’s not meant to run a football club. He doesn’t understand homegrown talent, he doesn’t understand academy players, he doesn’t understand you need those players in your dressing room. Mason Mount is Chelsea, and now Chelsea have to get rid of him just to balance the books.”

With mistakes pretty much admitted to already by the ownership, it can not be overlooked the amount those at the top are looking to amend those now, however long that takes.
