Enzo Maresca can hold his head high after his stint at Chelsea, having led the team to success in the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.

The plan from here for Chelsea is to kickstart the new managerial search, according to Fabrizio Romano, but there aren’t any clear frontrunners at this moment in time.

Enzo Maresca fancies a potential role at Manchester United

There had been links between Enzo Maresca and Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola’s long-term future under the microscope at the Etihad.

However, it’s the red side of Manchester that Enzo Maresca is eyeing right now.

According to Chelsea First, amongst other clubs, Manchester United are a club that the former Blues boss would be keen on managing if Ruben Amorim was to be sacked.

Where does Chelsea go from here?

Chelsea cannot afford to rush things when it comes to finding a no manager.

It has been claimed that Liam Rosenior is an early favourite to take the job at Chelsea, having impressed over at sister club Strasbourg.

However, nothing is confirmed as of yet, and other names such as Oliver Glasner have been floated.

But the one thing that certainly won’t appeal to any BlueCo outsider is the current owners, as there always seems to be issues filtering down from the top.

That’s why the appointment of Rosenior seems most likely. He knows exactly what the owners are like and is still working under them over in France.
