Enzo Maresca will have been delighted with how his Chelsea players ended their Conference League group stage campaign at Stamford Bridge last night.
The Blues were already confirmed to reach the last 16 of the competition, however still ran out 5-1 winners in dominant fashion against Shamrock Rovers.
Maresca named a relatively strong side for the final game of the group stage, with Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke keeping their starting place from the Premier League win against Brentford.
Madueke sent a message to his manager with a brilliant performance ahead of the return to league action at the weekend against Everton.

Marc Guiu has been unhappy at Chelsea
The star of the show in Europe though was Marc Guiu, who scored his first hat-trick for the Blues last night.
This brought his tally to six in the competition this season, and Joe Cole was left thinking Guiu could become a star at Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniard hasn’t featured in the Premier League since the opening day of the season, with Nicolas Jackson picking up the majority of minutes there this season.
Maresca has said this has left Guiu to be one of the unhappier members of his squad up to now.
He said to the Evening Standard: “Marc [Guiu] is a bit unhappy as Nicolas [Jackson] and Christopher [Nkunku] are doing well. When another nine is doing well, it’s a matter of being questioned. It is important that they work hard day-by-day and then they get a chance.”
Guiu could be loaned out
It looks as if the best possible route for Guiu to get regular first team minutes for the rest of this season would see him leave on loan.
A number of Spanish sides are reportedly keen on bringing the youngster in for the rest of the campaign.
With Jackson starring in the league and Christopher Nkunku still banging on the door for minutes, Guiu certainly showed that he is not too far behind in his first season at the club.
