Chelsea’s first-team player may reportedly be attracting transfer interest going into the final few days of the transfer window.
The summer transfer window closes on Friday for Premier League clubs, and the rumour mill suggests there’s plenty more business for Chelsea to conduct before then, both for incomings and outgoings.
In terms of arrivals, the Blues are still heavily linked with adding a new centre-forward. If that happens, let’s see how that impacts current members of the squad at Stamford Bridge.
Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Chelsea have made an offer to sign Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who’s a proven goalscorer that could transform the team’s attack.

Chelsea striker Marc Guiu could leave
According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea’s Marc Guiu may yet leave the club on loan before the summer window closes because he’s in danger of slipping further down the pecking order.
It is explained that it’s plausible the club adds another frontman in the next few days, which would have a negative impact on Guiu’s minutes. The 18-year-old’s already played in two of Chelsea’s opening three games this season, but he’s certainly behind Nicolas Jackson in the pecking order to start.
The report adds that the Blues are bracing themselves for Guiu to be subject of loan offers in the coming days. Most importantly, Maresca is open to allowing the teenage centre-forward to go out on loan to continue his development as well.
GMS says that interested parties are sniffing an opportunity to sign Guiu this week. Apparently, he’s most likely to return to La Liga after only joining from Barcelona in the summer amid potential interest from Real Betis.
A loan deal is a no-brainer
While Guiu’s certainly caught the eye in his first couple of months as a Chelsea player, it’s obvious that he’s still a very raw talent with a lot of growing to do.
The young striker definitely has the tools and potential to be a future star in West London, but we doubt he’ll play much if Osimhen arrives to compete with Jackson for the No.9 spot. Therefore, it would be smart to see him get a loan switch before Friday’s deadline.
For Guiu, he’ll benefit most from playing regular first-team football this season, whether that’s back in Spain or in England.
Speaking via Sport last month, Marc Cucurella described Guiu as a “great” player. The youngster just needs a bit more maturity and experience before he’s ready for Chelsea’s senior squad, though.
