Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has been discussing the future of one Chelsea player, which looks unlikely to be sorted soon.
There is a lot of doubt surrounding the futures of quite a few Chelsea players at Stamford Bridge right now.
Trevoh Chalobah‘s career in blue appears to be over after he was left out of the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, while Conor Gallagher is yet to sign a new contract.
Gallagher has now entered the final year of his existing deal, meaning that Chelsea may have to sell the midfielder this summer or risk losing him for nothing in 2025.
Atletico Madrid are interested, but Atletico may have to sell Joao Felix before they can meet Chelsea’s valuation or a figure close to it.

When Trevoh Chalobah could leave Chelsea
Chalobah looks set for a Chelsea exit, though Nottingham Forest won’t make another bid for Chalobah.
According to Romano, the Blues could sell the central defender for up to £35m this summer, but it could be a while before his destination is known.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, the Italian journalist said: “The price tag wanted by Chelsea is something between £30-35million for Trevoh Chalobah. There are proposals from the Premier League and from abroad.
“There is interest but, at the moment, still no formal proposal on the table at Chelsea. They’re also waiting to see what happens. My feeling is that it’s going to take some time before we know the new club of Chalobah.”
Chelsea will be happy with Trevoh Chalobah sale
Plenty of Chelsea supporters will not want Chalobah to leave the club this summer. He is one of their own after coming through the Blues’ academy.
The fact that he is a homegrown player developed at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, though, means the club can make pure profit on him.
That is likely to please the Chelsea owners, who do not want to violate PSR. They will also argue that that Enzo Maresca already has enough centre-back options.
New signing Tosin Adarabioyo, Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana and Axel Disasi are all central defenders.
Another summer arrival, Renato Veiga, can also play in central defence. Maresca, then, is not light in that department, but that will not change how Chelsea fans feel about what is happening to Chalobah.
