Chelsea’s summer spending spree is showing no signs of stopping as the Blues get closer to making two big additions in the coming days.
Xavi Simons has been strongly linked with the move to Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea look for a replacement for Noni Madueke in their attacking options.
Simons has chosen Chelsea over Arsenal, and the Blues are in talks with RB Leipzig over the signing, with Carney Chukwuemeka cropping up as a potential option for them in negotiations.
Despite big money being spent to bring in the likes of Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap already this summer, it appears they are not done yet when it comes to recruitment.

Chelsea make contact with Ajax over signing Jorrel Hato
One player they have been strongly linked to for a number of months now is Jorrel Hato, with a host of Premier League sides keen on the young Dutchman.
The Blues were seen to be ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign him, however have now taken a big step towards bringing him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Fabrizio Romano has stated that Hato is now the next priority target, and the player is prepared to accept personal terms with the Blues.
He said: “Chelsea have now made official club to club contact with Ajax for Jorrel Hato as next top priority! Hato, understood to be keen on the move and already prepared to accept personal terms at CFC. Negotiations ongoing with very good relationship between clubs.”
With Marc Cucurella being the only natural left-back in the squad, the addition of Hato is much-needed, and would be a brilliant signing for Chelsea.

Expected player sale makes Hato the perfect addition for Chelsea
The Spaniard played an incredible amount of minutes for club and country, and this is something that the club need to address going into a season with Champions League football on the horizon.
There was a chance for the Blues to reintegrate Renato Veiga into the squad, however it is clear that he prefers a centre-back role.
He is now set to move on, with Atletico Madrid keen on signing Veiga after he was left disappointed he would not get his chance again in West London.
