Chelsea have made it clear this summer that a number of their players are not currently in their plans going into next season.
This has included first team stars who played a key role under Mauricio Pochettino in the side that finished sixth in the league last season.
One of those who looks to be on the move is Conor Gallagher, after an agreement couldn’t be reached on a new contract to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

It is not just permanent deals that the club are looking to facilitate, with a number of younger and even more experienced stars seemingly on the chopping block for loan deals too.
One of those is Alfie Gilchrist, with it even being claimed at one stage this summer that Cesc Fabregas’ Como were interested in signing him.

Alfie Gilchrist medical at Sheffield United tomorrow
However, Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that the defender has chosen to remain in England, with a move to the Championship and Sheffield United on the cards.
He said: “Chelsea talent Alfie Gilchrist has chosen Sheffield United as loan option. Medical and signature to be completed on Tuesday — here we go.”
Mauricio Pochettino a big fan of Gilchrist
Gilchrist played more of a role last season than he probably ever imagined he would do, scoring his first senior goal for the club at Stamford Bridge too.
Pochettino was a big fan, describing him as ‘amazing’ for the impact he made when he was brought into the first team picture.
Chelsea have strengthened at the back this summer with the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free, with him expected to be fighting for a start when the new season comes around in a couple of weeks’ time.
Academy graduates seem to not be fairing so well though, with Trevoh Chalobah recently left off the pre-season tour of the United States in an attempt to accelerate his departure from the club.
