Chelsea seem to be making their first proper moves of deadline day as they make their final attempts to strengthen the squad before the end of this transfer window.

The Blues have already made a heap of additions this summer, with them bringing in the likes of Pedro Neto and Joao Felix to strengthen their first team.

Given the fact that Enzo Maresca has been pretty ruthless when it comes to the futures of a number of Chelsea players, they have been keen to add players in at a rapid rate.

This looks as it is going to go all the way until the final minutes of this transfer window, with them interested in a number of players on the final day.

One of those is Jadon Sancho. The Blues have been getting creative in their attempts to sign him from Manchester United.

Chelsea make official bid for Jadon Sancho

They have received an indication that Sancho is open to joining Chelsea, however agreeing a deal is going to turn out to be much harder to do.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed though that the Blues have made their first official bid for the England international’s services.

He said:  “Chelsea submit official bid to Manchester Utd for Jadon Sancho. Understand it’s initial loan proposal, similar to terms offered by Juventus but total package higher. Sancho, OPEN and keen to joining Chelsea so up to the clubs/Man Utd to decide.”

Chelsea want to sell Raheem Sterling

It was believed originally that bringing Sancho into the squad was going to rely heavily on whether they were able to get rid of Raheem Sterling as requested by Enzo Maresca.

This is looking unlikely to happen at this stage, with it believed that the wages the winger is on are proving too much for any side to compete with.
