Chelsea look as if they are about to make yet another addition that will directly impact their first team.
Reports have claimed that they are really close to securing the signing of Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid, with the striker set to join up with Enzo Maresca and the first team squad.
It looks as if the deal is coming somewhat in tandem with Conor Gallagher’s sale, with supporters feeling as if he is being forced out of his boyhood club.

The Spaniard has reportedly agreed to a seven-year deal at the club, suggesting they believe he has a big future at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea fans are currently not convinced Omorodion is what they need at this stage of their project, however they were not the only side looking to sign him.
Bayer Leverkusen wanted Samu Omorodion
Fabrizio Romano has stated that Bayer Leverkusen were one of the clubs who made a late move to beat the Blues to his signature.
He said: “Samu Omorodion to Chelsea, here we go! Deal in place for £35m as fixed fee from Atlético Madrid. Seven year contract for Omorodion at Chelsea, already agreed as he’s set for medical tests.
“Bayer Leverkusen and more clubs tried to enter race but Omorodion joins Chelsea.”
Nicolas Jackson is still expected to be the starting striker at Chelsea, after he impressed in his first season in English football.
Doubts over Nicolas Jackson’s fitness
It remains to be seen if he will be fit for the Premier League opener in 10 days though, with Maresca hinting there were doubts over Jackson’s fitness.
The future now looks unclear for Marc Guiu, who impressed many with his performances during pre-season.
There is a possibility that he is loaned out this summer, however the plethora of fixtures in all of the competitions they play in means they may need to call on an extended squad this season.
