Fabrizio Romano shares what Chelsea have been told about Estevao Willian off the pitch

Chelsea will have another exciting name join the club next year when Estevao Willian arrives at Stamford Bridge.

During the summer, Chelsea agreed a deal to sign Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, where he is currently thriving.

This season, the winger has scored 10 goals and provided eight assists in 24 league appearances.

Estevao recently broke a record that was held by Neymar, which was met by congratulations from the Brazil legend.

Chelsea getting a good character in Estevao Willian

Despite all of the hype surrounding Estevao, who is already a Brazil international at just 17 years of age, it looks like the Palmeiras star has remained grounded.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have only been told positive things about Estevao and his conduct off the pitch.

Discussing the young Brazilian on his YouTube channel, the transfer expert said: “What I can tell you is that Chelsea, internally, the excitement for Willian Estevao is really, really huge. They believe they signed one of the top, top, top talents in the world, not just in South America.

“They have very good reports on Willian Estevao also out of the pitch, not just on the pitch where he’s wonderful, but also really professional, really committed, really focused on succeeding in football.”

It is a big move for him, but Estevao has no fears about failing at Chelsea like some other talented youngsters the club have signed in the past.

Estevao Willian could give Enzo Maresca a headache next season

The expectation is that Estevao will play in Chelsea’s first team in the 2025/26 season, which is hardly a surprise.

The attacker has so much talent and is showing that at Palmeiras right now. At Chelsea, he could play on the right or in the No.10 position.

It has already been claimed that Estevao is eyeing the No.10 role. However, that is where Cole Palmer is currently playing, while Enzo Maresca also has good options on the right.

Noni Madueke has been in great form this season, scoring four goals in seven league appearances, while Chelsea just signed Neto to strengthen their right flank.

It means when Estevao arrives at the club next summer, Maresca is going to have to make some big calls. It could prove to be a bit of a headache for him, but the Italian will surely be happy to have so many quality attacking options.
