The arrival of Estevao Willian at Chelsea in 2025 is extremely exciting and one that supporters can’t wait to see.

Chelsea confirmed back in June that they’ve agreed a deal with Palmeiras to sign Estevao Willian, with the youngster officially completing his move to Stamford Bridge next summer.

In the meantime, the Blues fanbase will be enjoying seeing what their 17-year-old wonderkid is doing for Brazilian top-flight club Palmeiras. The skilful attacker has nine goals and seven assists in 22 league appearances in the Brazil Serie A this season.

In addition, Chelsea’s youngster has recently earned his first two senior international caps for Brazil. Real Madrid star Rodrygo recently said he’ll look to help Estevao on international duty.

Estevao Willian wants central position

According to GiveMeSport, Estevao has already made it ‘clear’ to Chelsea that he wants to be used in the No.10 position when he joins up with the club next summer.

It is explained that the Blues are willing to grant the Brazilian teenager his wish, although there’s also times he could play out wide to accommodate Cole Palmer in the central playmaker role.

The report has stated that Chelsea are firmly fixed on bringing Estevao straight into their first-team squad next season rather than send him out on loan, so it’s going to be very interesting to see how he fares with the competition and European football.

Advice for Estevao Willian

First of all, we think Estevao looks like a special footballer. It’s quite remarkable what the youngster is doing for club and country, so the fact he’ll be in Chelsea’s squad next year is fantastic.

However, we’d advice the South American talent not to arrive and make demands over a starting position. In particular, when he’s asking to play the same role as Blues talisman Palmer.

The left-footed forward has played most of his club football so far with Palmeiras on the right wing, where he’s so dangerous cutting infield and dribbling with superb close control. Of course, that challenge will ramp up when he’s coming up against Premier League defences that are unlikely to allow him the same kind of freedom.

The current Chelsea side is built around the brilliance of Palmer, so it’s a brave call to take him on directly.
