Both Gary Lineker and Micah Richards were in agreement that the performance of one Chelsea player at the weekend was absolutely superb.
The two pundits claimed on ‘The Rest is Football’ that they were really impressed by Axel Disasi at the back in the 1-1 draw at the Etihad.
Disasi was the clear player of the match at the weekend as the Blues picked up an impressive point in the Premier League.

In an inconsistent season, it is perhaps amazing that one of the highlights of Mauricio Pochettino’s time at the club so far is a draw against the Champions.
Nevertheless, the manager will have seen plenty he will be happy about as he prepares this week for the EFL Cup final against Liverpool at Wembley.
The likes of Levi Colwill, Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson made their own strong cases that they should be starting the game that decides the first major trophy of the season.
Disasi impresses vs Manchester City
Disasi however had easily his best game since the £39m move over the summer, with now Lineker and Richards in agreement that he was on fire on Saturday.
Lineker simply stated: “Disasi was fantastic.”
Before Richards replied: “Disasi had some really good clearances, his positioning was really good on certain occasions in the game.”
The Frenchman is absolutely going to feature at Wembley on Sunday, which means if fit, it is likely to be an afternoon on the bench for veteran Thiago Silva.
Despite being one of the most important members of the first team squad since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, it really looks at this stage like the best combination at the back does not include him.
This is perhaps not surprising, considering he is closing in on his 40th birthday and what looks as if will be his final few months in West London.
