‘For sure’: 24-year-old Chelsea player admits he wants to enjoy club football again, Boehly wants him gone

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has now admitted that he wants to find somewhere where he enjoys his football again.

He claimed in an interview with ESPN that finding joy at club level again after a number of tough years at Stamford Bridge.

Last season was more of the same for the United States international, with a combination of injuries and competition for places blocking any development.

January turned out to be a nightmare month for the 24-year-old, with him suffering an injury in the Premier League game against Manchester City.

By the time he had returned to first team action, he saw a number of new wingers had arrived to take more of his already limited minutes.

Pulisic wants happiness again

There is plenty of faith in the futures of Mykhailo Mudryk and https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/tag/noni-madueke/Noni Madueke, and they are likely to be handed the majority of minutes at Stamford Bridge next season.

Pulisic himself has now claimed that he is now looking for an opportunity to enjoy is football again, hinting it could result in a move away.

He said: “I need to figure out what’s going to be best for my future and be somewhere where I can go and play and be trusted and feel good in what I’m doing. I want to find that joy at a club level again, for sure.”

It is looking likely that the American’s chance to get back to a state where he is playing regular football is to be from a move away, which looks as if is an opinion shared by the club.

Reports have previously claimed that Todd Boehly is hopeful that the winger is one of the players he can get off the books as part of their summer rebuild.
