Four Chelsea stars have been rewarded for the team’s excellent start to the new Premier League season.
Chelsea are currently second in the Premier League table, taking seven points from their first three games.

New signing Joao Pedro has been on fire for the Blues, coming up with four goal contributions in three appearances.
Pedro has been praised by Rio Ferdinand and others and has unsurprisingly been included in WhoScored’s Premier League Team of the Month for August.

Thanks to Pedro, Chelsea have been a threat going forward, but they have also been pretty solid defensively.
Enzo Maresca‘s men have kept two clean sheets and have only conceded one goal so far, with Marc Cucurella and Trevoh Chalobah doing their part.
Moises Caicedo has also done a great job protecting them, helping him to earn a spot in WhoScored’s Team of the Month alongside Chalobah, Cucurella and Pedro.
Chelsea refused to sell Caicedo and Chalobah during the summer, with both players attracting interest from other clubs.
Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr made Caicedo a target, while Chalobah was linked with several Premier League sides. The former has always been a key player for Maresca, but the latter has seen his importance increase following an ACL injury to Levi Colwill.
Who was Chelsea’s player of the month?
Without Pedro, Chelsea would probably not have started the season the way they have.
It was the Brazilian who equalised for the Blues at the London Stadium after they found themselves 1-0 down to West Ham.
He then opened the scoring for them against Fulham in a very tight match just before the break.
While Caicedo, Cucurella and Chalobah have all impressed during this early part of the campaign, there is no doubt that Pedro has been the team’s player of the month. Chelsea fans will now be praying that he returns from international duty in one piece.
