With the impending decision on Chelsea’s transfer ban moving ever closer, speculation on the January transfer window is increasing. This will not only mean players coming in, but some players will be shown the exit door.
Here is a list of four Chelsea players whose time may be up:
Olivier Giroud

The World Cup winner has found opportunities very hard to come by under Frank Lampard and seems to be third in the pecking order behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi.
Heading into the twilight of his career, Giroud is likely to be seeking other opportunities in January where he can secure more playing time.
Pedro

Spanish winger Pedro is another senior player at the club who is struggling for minutes. Lampard seems to prefer the likes of Pulisic, Willian and Hudson-Odoi to Pedro and it has been reported that the club may allow him to leave in January.
He is a player struggling to even get into the matchday squad in recent times, so he will certainly be exploring his options come January.
Ross Barkley

After a sparkling pre-season where he scored four goals and provided three assists, Barkley earned a place in the starting 11.
This pre-season form did not continue and he is now well down the pecking order. With the impending return of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and the possible recall of Conor Gallagher, Barkley’s time at the club may well be coming to an end.
Marcos Alonso

Despite his ability to pop up with a crucial goal, Alonso has come under extreme criticism from Chelsea fans in recent years. A lack of pace has been cited by many, and he seems to not be the same player when operating with a four-man defense.
Emerson seems to have claimed the starting spot at left-back, and fans are desperate for the club to make a move for Leicester man Ben Chilwell.
