Frank Leboeuf has just delivered a glowing praise on one Chelsea star by highlighting what a hard worker he is on the football pitch.

When you look at the current Chelsea squad, it’s filled with young and talented players. Therefore, the fanbase are right to expect a side that plays with high intensity and aggression this season.

So far, Enzo Maresca has made a solid start to life in the manager’s dugout at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have collected 10 points from their opening five Premier League games.

Next, the team host Brighton this Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge. The good news is that Maresca has confirmed Romeo Lavia is available again for Brighton.

Frank Leboeuf loves Nicolas Jackson’s energy

ESPN pundit Frank Leboeuf has credited Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson after noticing just how hard he works out of possession.

The 23-year-old striker is leading the line superbly well at the start of the season, bringing a lot both on and off the ball for his side.

“We can feel that he gives 100 per cent. He’s not a lazy guy just waiting for something to happen. He works hard for the team,” Leboeuf told ESPN.

Nicolas Jackson the complete package

We saw Jackson contribute so much last year during his debut season with Chelsea even when he wasn’t scoring consistently, so now that he’s finding the back of the net more regularly the praise in the media is starting to flood in.

The £32m striker (The Guardian) has netted four times in his opening five league games this season. Hopefully, he’s well on his way of eclipsing last season’s decent tally of 17 goals across all competitions.

His link up play with teammates is usually very effective. In particular, we’ve noticed him and Cole Palmer connect superbly well together.

Chelsea fans often long for the day that they find a replacement for former strikers such as Didier Drogba and Diego Costa, but is that wait now over with Jackson leading the line?
